About abujiggy
Real trips. Real recommendations. No fluff.
Discover the world with abujiggy
Hi — I'm abujiggy. I've traveled to 56+ countries since 2012, and this site is where I share the trips, tips, and hard-won lessons from every one of them.
abujiggy.com started as a personal notebook. After years of getting burned by generic tourist listicles and hotel reviews written by people who never left their couch, I wanted a travel blog built from real trips instead. Everything you read here is from places I've actually visited, hotels I've actually stayed at, and deals that actually worked.
Based out of Dubai, the site leans heavily into UAE travel — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah — with guides for first-time tourists and residents looking for something new. Beyond the UAE it covers the destinations I've actually spent time in: Seoul, Istanbul, Amman, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, and many more.
What you'll find here
- City guides written from real, repeated visits — not Wikipedia rewrites
- Honest hotel and activity reviews with the good and the bad
- Working deals and discount codes for flights, hotels and activities
- Curated travel tools — flight comparators, visa checkers, packing lists and trip planners
- Practical how-to guides (airport hacks, loyalty programs, first-timer tips)
What you won't find here
- Sponsored reviews disguised as honest opinions
- Generic top-10 lists scraped from other blogs
- Affiliate links stuffed into articles about things I never tested
- Guides for destinations I haven't actually been to
How the site makes money
Some links are affiliate links — if you book a hotel, flight or tour through them, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those commissions pay for hosting, camera gear, and the occasional lounge pass while the next article is being written. Sponsored partnerships are always clearly labeled, and we only feature products we'd use ourselves.
About the name
abujiggy is lowercase on purpose. It's the brand, the author, and the handle — never "Abujiggy" or "ABUJIGGY". Keep it simple and keep it moving.
